That’s because this is one of the most versatile side-by-sides ever, and because we have so many options for you to choose from. Every one features our exclusive in-bed QuickFlip® seating, allowing it to carry up to five adults securely and in comfort. And when you don’t need them, the seats fold down flush, giving you a large, flat-bottomed tilt bed for hauling cargo. The Pioneer 1000-5 is the workhorse of the family, but there’s also our Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe. The Trail edition is perfect for outdoor recreation, and the Forest edition is ready for adventure, and showcases our new TrueTimber® Atera Camo color scheme this year. The Pioneer 1000-5 Trail and Forest showcase our exclusive i-4WD system. Think “I” for “Intelligent,” because that’s exactly what it is. An industry-first brake-traction control system for side-by-sides, it simplifies operation, increases drivability and optimizes traction. Using proven, advanced technology from Honda automotive division, you get the benefits associated with a locked front differential with none of the downsides. That means it maintains front-wheel traction even if one wheel wants to spin on ice or mud or if it’s in a hole. But at the same time, you get the lighter steering, better tracking at high speeds, tighter turning radius, and reduced kickback associated with unlocked front differentials.

We’ve given the engine huge power in our entire Pioneer 1000-5 lineup, especially in the midrange and top end. And thanks to the lower gear ratios, you’ll feel quick acceleration and stellar overall performance. Using the same Unicam® cylinder head design found in our motocross bikes, the class-leading 999cc liquid-cooled inline twin is compact, while delivering the kind of horsepower and torque you’d expect from a flagship model.

Our refined chassis enables you to tackle terrain others would shy away from, with larger tires, long-travel independent front and rear suspension and huge ground clearance. The rubber mounted engine and exhaust system helps insulate against vibration and the self-leveling rear suspension compensates for changing loads.
