Unicam® cylinder head design
Using the same proven Unicam® cylinder head design found in our championship-winning CRF450R motocrosser helps make the engine more compact, allowing us to position it for optimal weight distribution and ground clearance.

Semi-dry-sump lubrication
The semi-dry-sump design keeps engine oil away from the crankshaft. It ensures more positive oiling under extreme conditions, eliminating windage losses and ensuring better oiling under extreme driving conditions.
Engine air intake
Clean air is vital for optimal engine performance. Our design places the air filter high over the engine in the rear and the air intake off to the side to promote a constant supply of clean air.
Independent front suspension
Dual A-arm independent suspension gives you 17.6 inches of front travel. Pair that with stellar ground clearance, and you understand why the SxS handles so well and is so comfortable in rough terrain.
4+ link rear suspension
Honda's 4+ link rear suspension provides superior handling by maintaining wheel geometry even with 21.7 inches of travel. This ensures that the rear wheels' toe changes only slightly throughout the entire stroke, improving chassis stability under extreme suspension deflection.
High-performance disc brakes
High-performance brakes feature 250mm discs at all four corners, squeezed by 34mm twin-piston calipers up front and 34mm single-piston calipers out back. Our Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) optimizes front and rear braking power.
Skid plate
Off-road driving can be challenging, and rough terrain can be unforgiving. We offer generous protection and a wide range of accessories to help protect vulnerable undercarriage and suspension components.
Front bumper
