Inline four engine

The powerful 1000cc DOHC four-cylinder engine uses an architecture and layout proven on our 1000 Hornet, but specially tuned for more low- and midrange horsepower and torque.

Four-into-one exhaust

The exhaust system can make a critical difference in power, and this classic four-into-one design features a special three-chamber muffler that boosts low- and midrange torque and power. Plus, wait until you hear how awesome it sounds!

Slipper/assist clutch

This innovative design hooks up tight to get all of the power to the ground, yet still offers a light pull at the clutch lever. Plus, it helps mitigate rear wheel hop under deceleration.

Huge rear tire

To get all that engine power to the road, the CB1000F comes with a massive 180/55-17 rear tire.

Powerful brakes

Large, dual radial-mount Nissin calipers bite 310mm floating rotors up front, while the rear caliper squeezes a 240mm rotor. The combination provides massive stopping power.

Anti-lock brakes

Front and rear ABS are standard, which keeps braking even more under control, especially in adverse conditions. Cornering ABS is another great feature that factors in lean angle and wheel speed.

Special gearing

We fit the CB1000F with a lower first and second gear than the Hornet, and taller third, fourth, and fifth gears. This gives the bike excellent acceleration off the line but a relaxed feel for highway cruising.

Honda Selectable Torque Control

A great system that combines its old-school raw horsepower with a modern power delivery, HSTC helps keep the bike hooked up and the power flowing under a wide variety of surface conditions.

Throttle by wire and five ride modes

Using our throttle-by-wire system, we’ve given this bike five ride modes (Standard, Sport, Rain and two rider-programmable User modes). The User modes let you choose between three parameters, and then save the settings.

All-LED lighting package

When it comes to lighting, an all-LED setup offers lighter, brighter, and longer-lasting illumination throughout its entire package.

Classic, timeless style

The way the CB1000F’s fuel tank and sidecovers integrate in a “flow line” design, along with the graphics and the tailpiece, look as good on this new bike as they did on the originals.

Open riding position

Honda RoadSync

Our Honda RoadSync app comes as standard equipment. It’s great for pairing your phone with your bike to run apps for navigation and weather. With an optional Bluetooth® headset, you can also make calls and listen to music.
