The bike has a fuel-injected power system that's easy to control for Trials riding. The 298cc Honda liquid-cooled four-stroke engine is tuned for low-rpm response and, thanks to a high-pressure fuel pump, provides ample power and torque across the rev range.

A handlebar-mounted mode switch lets you choose between two maps/modes to change engine power delivery. The bike even includes special ECU mapping, improving engine response in low and middle rpm ranges.

The Honda engine used by the 4RT 301RR features a battery-less digital ignition system, a bank-angle sensor that turns off the ignition when the motorcycle is lying on the ground, and a magnetic kill switch.
