Discovering new horizons

Honda’s been at this adventure thing for decades—precision engineering, hard-won off-road cred, the whole package. From Dakar podiums to high-alpine passes, it’s in their DNA. And today, that legacy levels up with a full ADV lineup built for modern riders: more refined, more connected, and more versatile than ever.

City shortcuts? Check. Remote mountain passes? Absolutely. Long interstate stretches? Bring ’em. With five distinct models—each shaped around different riding styles—there’s a Honda adventure bike ready for your everyday commute and your once-in-a-lifetime journey. Think of it as choose-your-own-adventure, Honda-style.

The 2026 Transalp receives a host of upgrades aimed at improved rideability.

Return of a legend

Back by popular demand, the Honda Transalp returned to the U.S. in 2024 after decades of international success. It quickly made its mark, and for 2025, Honda refined the package with traction-control updates and added comfort. Now for 2026, the Transalp gets even more improvements to rideability and control, making this middleweight adventure bike more approachable for a wider range of riders.

Power still comes from the versatile 755cc Unicam parallel-twin, shared with the CB750 Hornet, but tuned specifically for adventure riding. It delivers smooth, capable performance on-road and off. New for 2026, the Transalp also gets Honda’s revolutionary E-Clutch, adding another layer of confidence and accessibility. E-Clutch helps reduce the risk of stalling in challenging terrain, enables clutchless upshifts and downshifts, and still gives riders full control through the handlebar-mounted clutch lever. And when the situation calls for it off-road, you can still spin the rear wheel. Like the bike’s ABS, it’s there when you need it and unobtrusive when you don’t.

Underneath, the suspension package remains strong, with a 43mm Showa SFF-CA™ inverted fork offering 7.9 inches of travel and a Pro-Link® single-shock rear suspension with 7.5 inches. New for this year, both the fork and shock are fully adjustable for compression and rebound damping, giving riders more freedom to fine-tune the setup for where and how they ride. A 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel provide true off-road-ready geometry, and rear ABS can still be switched off when the dirt demands it. The Transalp also now comes standard with a factory-installed skid plate.

The electronics package is just as ready to roam. Five ride modes—Sport, Rain, Gravel, Standard, and User—are managed through a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity. Each mode adjusts throttle response, engine braking, ABS, and rear-wheel traction via Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), so you can dial the bike to your surface and skill level.

Bottom line: for 2026, the Honda Transalp adds the stall-reducing confidence of E-Clutch and the versatility of fully adjustable suspension, while continuing to do what it does best—handle everything from daily rides to off-road escapes in one do-it-all machine.

The Africa Twin's DCT system is revised for 2025 for cleaner low-speed operation.

Pure adventure

You can’t talk “Adventure Touring” without the Africa Twin. Born from Honda’s Dakar glory days in the ’90s and refined ever since, the CRF1100L Africa Twin remains the benchmark for full-sized ADVs—light on its feet, agile in the rough, and more off-road capable than a lot of its liter-class competition. The latest update zeroes in on what riders feel most: comfort, low-speed control, and everyday versatility.

Under the tank is the familiar 1084cc Unicam parallel-twin with a 270-degree crank, delivering that satisfying, torque-rich V-twin-style pulse. For 2025, it breathes through a revised airbox and exhaust, and gets smarter throttle-by-wire mapping for smoother roll-on and better finesse when the trail turns tight and technical.

Prefer to row your own? The six-speed manual stays a purist’s favorite. Love long miles with less effort? The automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) model keeps evolving. This year, it brings reprogrammed logic for cleaner clutch modulation, more intuitive shifts on climbs and descents, and a refined G-mode that improves traction when you leave the pavement behind.

Suspension sticks with what works: a fully adjustable 45mm Showa fork offering 9.1 inches of travel and a Pro-Link rear single shock with 8.7 inches. The rally-inspired chassis geometry, plus tubeless spoked wheels (21-inch front, 18-inch rear), is built to take real off-road hits. New for 2025, the seat gets recontoured foam for better support when you’re stacking hours in the saddle.

Electronics are anchored by a six-axis IMU that oversees the throttle-by-wire, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), wheelie control, and cornering ABS. You’ve got seven traction-control levels, three wheelie settings, and six ride modes—Tour, Urban, Gravel, Off-Road, User 1, and User 2—all managed through a crisp 6.5-inch touchscreen TFT display. Software gets an update too, with improved Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration.

Bottom line: these targeted updates make an already laser-focused adventure bike even easier to live with—and even more capable when the map turns to dotted lines. If you want rally geometry, real-world comfort, and serious go-anywhere chops, the Africa Twin delivers.

The Adventure Sports models get reworked Showa EERA suspension settings, deigned to further increase long-distance comfort.

Built for the horizon

If your idea of a good day is a long one, the Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES is your kind of travel partner. It takes the already capable Africa Twin and turns it into a true long-distance tourer—more range, sharper road manners, and Honda’s most advanced suspension to keep things calm when the miles stack up.

You get the same 1084cc engine and your choice of manual or DCT, but 2025 brings smarter throttle mapping and refined DCT logic. Translation: smoother low-speed control and more natural gear choices when you’re tiptoeing down a steep descent or easing through traffic.

The chassis leans into pavement performance with a move to a 19-inch front wheel—still a tubeless spoked rim—running a 110/80-19 tire for better grip and steering feel. Out back, the 18-inch wheel stays, now paired with a more road-focused 150/70-18 tire, so you keep ADV geometry without giving up confidence on the highway.

The star of the show is Showa EERA™ (Electronically Equipped Ride Adjustment). Fed by the bike’s IMU and sensors, it’s constantly adjusting damping—think updates every millisecond—to match the surface and your inputs. Choose from Soft, Mid, Hard, Off-Road, or User, and fine-tune preload electronically right from the handlebar.

Touring touches are everywhere: a 6.6-gallon tank for big range, a taller windscreen and revised side deflectors, standard heated grips, cornering lights, and a reshaped seat with improved foam density. Seat height remains adjustable (32.9 to 33.7 inches), and a narrower midsection makes it easier to get both feet down.

Up front, a 6.5-inch TFT display ties everything together with glove-friendly controls, improved Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration, Bluetooth® audio, and turn-by-turn navigation.

Built to run with the most premium adventure tourers, the Adventure Sports ES blends real off-road readiness with first-class road comfort. If you define adventure by how far you can go in a day (or a week), then this is your preferred dance partner.

Updated styling highlights the NC750X's updates for 2025.

ADV for the everyday rider

Not every adventure starts in the wild. For riders who love ADV style and ergonomics but live in the real world—think city streets, daily commutes, and weekend getaways—the NC750X DCT fits right in.

Its 745cc SOHC parallel-twin is canted forward to lower the center of gravity and make room for the NC’s most iconic feature: a 23-liter front trunk compartment where a traditional fuel tank would be. With its horsepower and torque focused in the low-to-mid rev range, the NC750X delivers usable, confident power in everyday conditions.

The six-speed automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) is standard and has been updated for smoother throttle matching, smarter downshifting in descents, and more responsive shifting in stop-and-go traffic. Riders can switch between Drive, Sport, or manual trigger-shift modes on the fly.

Also for 2025, suspension damping is refined for a calmer ride over rough pavement. A redesigned front fairing and updated LED lighting sharpen its look, while revised throttle-by-wire mapping helps with low-speed control. Add in a friendly 31.6-inch seat height, street-tuned suspension, and excellent fuel economy, and you’ve got everyday adventure—ready when you are.

2025 Updates

  • Refined DCT logic for smarter city and hill shifts
  • Reworked suspension damping for added comfort
  • Restyled front fairing with LED lighting

Key Features

  • 745cc liquid-cooled SOHC parallel-twin engine
  • Showa 41mm telescopic fork; 4.7-inch travel
  • Pro-Link® single shock; 4.7-inch travel
  • Six-speed automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT)
  • 23-liter integrated front storage
  • LED lighting w/ ADV-style ergonomics

The NX500 also gets a minor styling makeover, as well as revamped suspension settings.

Lightweight, capable, and confidence-built

Meet the NX500, the successor to the beloved CB500X. It landed in 2024 and, for 2025, gets a sharper focus across the board. Power still comes from Honda’s proven 471cc DOHC parallel-twin—smooth, approachable, and happily linear—perfect for newer riders who want that ADV vibe, and still plenty fun for the experienced. A 180-degree crank and balancer shaft keep vibration low without dulling the engine’s lively feel.

The steel diamond frame sticks around, but now feels more responsive thanks to added stiffness. Up front, a revised Showa 41mm SFF-BP fork with 5.9 inches of travel soaks up the bumps, while an updated Pro-Link rear shock delivers 5.3 inches of comfort-inducing travel. Cast 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels with dual-sport rubber and standard ABS give you steady on-road manners and mild trail capability. You get a confidence-boosting 7.1 inches of ground clearance and a manageable 32.8-inch seat height

Tech steps up for 2025 with a full-color 5-inch TFT display, Honda RoadSync smartphone connectivity, and a handy new left-hand joystick for easy menu navigation. A standard slipper/assist clutch lightens lever effort and smooths out aggressive downshifts. Add in sharper rally-style bodywork and a roughly seven-pound weight drop from the previous model, and you’ve got a lighter, smarter, more polished everyday adventurer.

2025 Updates

  • Left-hand joystick-controlled TFT display
  • Revised suspension with improved damping
  • Updated styling with revised LED lighting

Key Features

  • 471cc liquid-cooled DOHC parallel-twin engine
  • Showa 41mm SFF-BP front fork; 5.9-inch travel
  • Pro-Link single shock; 5.3-inch travel
  • 19-inch front/17-inch rear cast wheels
  • 32.8-inch seat height
  • Full-color 5-inch TFT display w/ Honda RoadSync
