Six-speed automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission

The Africa Twin DCT and Adventure Sports ES DCT feature a strong, steel-gear transmission that lets you shift with paddle shifters in manual mode or automatically. It's the future of motorcycle transmissions.

Parallel-twin engine layout

Thanks to the parallel-twin engine layout, the bike's front wheel can tuck in closer to the engine. This shortens the wheelbase, making the bike more agile on and off the road.

Long-travel front suspension

This adventure bike is the real deal with the most front-end travel in the 1000cc off-road class thanks to its inverted Showa fork with 45mm tubes and 9.1 inches of travel.

Cornering ABS

They come standard with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) integrated with a 6-axis IMU. The system compensates accordingly when the user is leaned over.

Semi-double-cradle frame

The semi-double-cradle steel frame layout has been proven in countless Honda dirt bikes. In principle, it’s similar to the design used on our Rally factory Dakar race bike - a machine designed to perform in challenging conditions.

Four-piston calipers

They feature twin four-piston brake calipers up front for powerful braking performance. The radial-mount design also makes them stiffer, which increases brake feel and control.

43-degree steering lock

They offer excellent maneuverability with 43 degrees of steering lock on tight trails, making them feel more nimble than many other adventure bikes.

Spoke wheels

Real adventure bikes use spoked wheels, which are more durable for off-road riding. Consequently, all models have both a 21-inch front and an 18-inch rear wheel.

Tall handlebar

Fitting a taller handlebar opens up the cockpit, working with the seat and windscreen for a comfortable rider's triangle during long rides.

Narrow seat

We took extra care to ensure that the seat was narrower, making it easier to maneuver the bike and to place a foot on the ground at stoplights or in parking lots.
