  • IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL NOTICE - 2014 Pioneer 700 and Pioneer 700-4

    Honda has decided that a potential product safety defect exists in the 2014 model year Pioneer 700 side-by-side (all models and types). When used in agricultural or grassland environments without the user regularly conducting the pre-ride vehicle inspection and cleaning outlined in the Pioneer Owner’s Manual, mud and vegetative debris can build up over time on the middle skid plate and eventually contact the vehicle exhaust system, potentially resulting in the ignition of dried vegetation, with a resulting smoke or fire.   • INITIAL SAFETY RECALL NOTICE - 2001-2012 GL1800 Motorcycles

    Honda has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in 2001-2012 model year GL1800 motorcycles. The secondary master cylinder repair conducted in 2011, pursuant to NHTSA recall 11V-567, was not sufficient enough in preventing the rear brake from dragging. Under certain conditions there is still a possibility that the combined braking system’s secondary master cylinder may cause the rear brake to drag. Unexpected braking increases the risk of a crash and riding the motorcycle with the rear brake dragging may generate enough heat to cause the rear brake to catch fire.

    Honda has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in certain 2013 model year Honda CB500F/CB500X/CBR500R motorcycles. There is a possibility that one of the bolts used in the assembly of the engine may not have received the proper anti-corrosion treatment, which could allow the bolts to loosen during operation. A bolt that loosens or falls out during operation can cause an oil leak, a reduction in engine power or an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
