RC213V-S

RC213V-S

The dream becomes reality.

By every measure, the Honda RC213V-S is an awe-inspiring motorcycle. Here’s the concept: Take our world-championship-winning RC213V MotoGP racer and add just enough equipment to make it street legal. Not just a machine that looks like a race bike. Not a Superbike done up in GP clothing. This is the real deal, a machine only Honda could build. Riders like Marc Marquez, Dani Pedrosa and Nicky Hayden know first-hand exactly how good the RC213V is. Now it’s time to show the world.

WORLD-CHAMPIONSHIP POWER

The RC213V-S uses a 1000cc 90-degree V-4 with a 360-degree crank and gear-driven cams. This is the engine architecture Honda has made famous on the track, winning back-to-back titles in 2013 and 2014. Engine braking is four-way adjustable, working in conjunction with Honda Selectable Torque Control. Compact, powerful, and offering both peak power and huge torque.

THE WORLD’S BEST HANDLING STARTS HERE

The RC213V-S’s chassis is another example of Honda engineering at its best. Just look at that frame, and especially the swingarm. They’re designed to cope with the stickiest GP slicks and return a degree of precise feedback and stability that’s positively surgical, and to do it lap after lap, at the most demanding racetracks in the world.

TRACK-WORTHY SUSPENSION

In MotoGP, suspension and chassis setup are the key to winning. The RC213V-S comes with an Öhlins TTX36 rear shock with a special remote preload adjuster and an Öhlins TTX25 gas-charged fork. Without a doubt, this is the best suspension we’ve ever fit to a motorcycle outside of the GP paddock.

POWERFUL, PRECISE BRAKES

The RC213V-S’s Brembo brakes are, in a word, amazing. The radial-mount four-piston front calipers are huge, and grip a pair of massive 320mm discs. Because the bike is so light, brakes like this feel even more powerful. Want to know why Marc Marquez is so confident holding the throttle open with all his RC213V’s power on tap? These Brembos are part of the answer.

ATTENTION TO DETAIL

Honda’s MotoGP bikes are hand-assembled by a select group of highly trained technicians, and that’s exactly what we do with the RC213V-S. Even the most critical GP journalists and testers rave about the detail the RC213V-S showcases—and those are just the parts they can see! Few of us will ever get to experience a machine like this. Fewer will ever be able to ride it to its full potential. In a world where appearance counts, it’s gratifying to see a machine where performance counts just as much.
