Extreme Dirt Track Series
Championship Wrap-up

The 2008 ATVA season has been all about racing in harsh conditions, especially rain. And rain was the deciding factor in this year’s finale, too. Or we should more correctly say flooding. Rain from Hurricane Gustav and Hurricane Ike completely flooded out the Fayette County Fairgrounds track in Brownstone, Illinois, forcing the cancellation of the eighth and final event of the series. So, based on his solid performances in the previous seven rounds, series leader Harold Goodman was awarded the 2008 Championship, a title he probably would have won anyway. Goodman is the series champion in the premier class (450cc Pro Production) as well as the overall champion in the Pro Lites class (formerly known as Pro-Am).

Goodman also won the ATV class in the SCORE San Felipe 250 last March, and  he plans to compete on a TRX700XX in the Baja 1000 coming up in two months.

Congratulations, Harold, from everyone at Honda!
