For the third time this season the fastest riders in the world will return to Angel Stadium for round five of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship. Heading into this weekend Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Trey Canard currently sits in second-place overall, a mere seven points behind the series leader. Canard has taken second at each of the previous Anaheim races; will A3 mark his first victory of the season?
Teammate Justin Barcia was sidelined for the second weekend in a row after getting tangled up in a big crash on the first lap in Oakland, but he’s back for Anaheim 3 and ready to battle for the win. Muscle Milk-sponsored GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac and Zach Osborne are also hoping to bounce back in Anaheim after a tough race last weekend.
“Last weekend was a bit of a bummer, but overall my results have shown progress and continue to get better,” stated Osborne. “The dirt has changed quite a bit since the season opener mainly because the monster trucks event have packed it down. This weekend’s track is going to be pretty hard packed, more like the second round in Anaheim. I am feeling good and am pretty excited about this weekend.”
