The finale of the 2012 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship takes place this weekend at Lake Elsinore Motocross Park in Lake Elsinore, CA, where racers will battle it out for the AMA Championship titles. The return of the series to Southern California marks the first year of the Red Bull Lake Elsinore National. With a new facility and a new track layout designed by Marc Peters, the closing round is sure to be an exciting one for both racers and fans alike. In the 250 class, GEICO Honda’s Eli Tomac and Justin Barcia are both in the hunt for their first Motocross Championship Titles.

Tomac sits a mere 14 points away from the top spot after a commanding 1-1 performance last weekend at Steel City, and Barcia is only four points behind him. In the WMX class, Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Ashley Fiolek heads into the last round in second place in the standings, with only a five-point gap to overcome in order to retain her number-one plate.
