The younger brother of 2times AMA Champion, (James” Bubba” Stewart, Malcolm become a Professional racer in Supercross and Motocross in 2011 250 Lites class. Malcolm started racing at the age of 5yrs old, and decided after a two years he wanted to fish instead and quit racing. After 2 years he was back racing, and although Malcolm really loves fishing and wanted to become a Bass Pro Fisherman, Racing and Fishing was going to be a challenge.
After racing consecutives Amateurs races throughout the years, In 2010 Malcolm decided to commit 100% into Racing. At the end of his last Amateur career race, he was going to step into the Pro Motocross the last few rounds of racing. But instead a minor setback injury before that had him sideline for the rest of the rounds.
From that point on the main goal was to get healthy and get ready for his first AMA Pro East Coast Supercoss race in Houston, TX racing for Suzuki City. Malcolm finish out the 2011 AMA 250 Supercross Lites with 7th place overall finish and 11th in the 250 Motocross. Although he was not happy with the results his first year, Malcolm was name 2011 Rookie of the Year.
Although Malcolm know his height and weight plays a major part into his racing, he does not let that bother him, as he says “it’s in his genes”. With that being said, Malcolm finished inside the top 10, 250 AMA Supercross East Coast 2 consecutive years in a row and back to back 11th place finishes in the 250 AMA motocross.
In 2013, Malcolm was offer a 450 Motocross ride aboard TLD Honda. With his weight, he knew that the 450 would fit him better, and also for the first time, he was competing against his brother. Coming into the 450 class was different and it takes a lot of patience to run that pace. Overall in the end though, it was a learning experience, Malcolm finish 13th Overall.
In 2014 Malcolm is back to racing 250AMA West Coast Lites Supercross for TLD Honda, and is currently sitting in 6th with 3 races left in the series. After Supercross, he will return to Motocross aboard the 450cc.
