    • Multitalented on two wheels, Cole Seely grew up riding and racing BMX before making his transition to motocross, in which his professional career began in 2009. He’s known for his smooth and calculated riding style, as well as his laid-back personality off the track. A Southern California native, Seely spends much of his free time near his Laguna Beach home.

Throughout his time in the 250SX West class, Seely was consistently in contention for the podium and race wins. In 2011, he notched two supercross victories en route to fourth overall in the series. He continued to impress by adding another win to his belt the following season, and finished third overall in points during his 2013 campaign. Seely’s 2014 season proved even more successful, as he tallied a pair of 250SX wins and challenged for the class title up until the final round, eventually settling for second. Prior to 2015, Seely had more premier-class experience than any of his fellow first-year competitors, having filled in for factory Honda on multiple occasions and even scoring his first 450SX class podium in 2014.

Last season, Seely solidified his place among the top 450SX riders, notching his debut premier-class Supercross win, as well as numerous podium appearances, finishing third in the final points standings and earning official Rookie of the Year honors. Seely’s goal for his sophomore season with Team Honda HRC is to continue his momentum and be a regular presence on the podium.

“Everyone who lines up on the gate is thinking about the championship,” Seely says. “That’s the ultimate goal, but I also want to work on being more consistent. Now I know what to expect going into each race, and I want to be a threat week-in and week-out.”
