  • Bio

    • A born-and-bred Oklahoma boy with a deep-rooted faith, Trey Canard has faced adversity in the form of significant injuries, but his unwavering drive and dedication to his team have been an inspiration, exemplifying what AMA Supercross and Motocross are about: strength and perseverance. Downright fierce when he dons his helmet, Trey is nonetheless widely recognized as the most humble and well-liked guy in the pits.

Since his professional debut in 2007, Canard has established himself as one of the fastest racers in the country, always a threat for podium finishes and race wins. He topped the first three races of his impressive rookie season in 2008 and clinched the 250SX East Championship. In 2010, Canard clinched his career first AMA 250 Motocross title and helped Team USA claim victory in the Motocross of Nations at Denver’s Thunder Valley MX. Canard’s 450 career has been marred by injury, but in 2013 he finished sixth overall in AMA Supercross and fourth in AMA Motocross. The following season saw him among the frontrunners on the AMA Pro Motocross circuit, logging six podium appearances, including his career-first premier-class overall victory, at Miller Motorsports Park. Last year, Canard was having the best Supercross season of his career, sitting second in points with two victories and five additional podiums before he was sidelined with an injury.

Now entering his sixth season with American Honda, Canard’s goal is to deliver consistent top results for the team that has played a key role in his success throughout his professional career. He has all the qualities of a champion, and nobody has more heart.

“I’m excited,” Canard says. “I have dreams and goals of winning races and championships and I’m confident in my ability to do so. The one thing that I can always guarantee is my effort; no matter what obstacles I might face, I’ll always put in 100 percent.”
