Honda is affiliated with two organizations dedicated to teaching ATV riders not only tips for safer riding, but off-road laws and responsibilities pertaining to the environment.

Specialty Vehicle Institute of America (SVIA)
The SVIA was formed in 1983 to foster and promote the safe and responsible use of specialty vehicles manufactured or distributed in the United States. The SVIA has developed and implemented a national ATV rider-safety training program. SVIA continues to monitor ATV voluntary standards, promote responsible ATV legislation, and serve as a liaison with state and Federal agencies on environmental issues.

ATV Safety Institute (ASI)
The ASI, a division of the SVIA, was formed in 1988 to implement an expanded national program of all-terrain vehicle (ATV) safety education and awareness, based on SVIA safety programs developed since 1983. The ASI also offers an extensive array of safety publications to promote the safe and responsible use of ATVs. For information on the ATV RiderCourse and other ASI safety programs visit their Web site at http://www.atvsafety.org/ or call (800) 887-2887.
