You know how people ask you about your favorite subject in school and you answer: Recess time? Well, you aren’t the only one.
Every year the Team Honda Muscle Milk riders take a day off from the pressure-cooker race scene and get to just mug and show off in front of the cameras. Instead of chasing mere fractions of a second from one corner to the next to carve out a slim winning margin, Trey Canard and Justin Barcia get to spend the whole day roosting, leaping and hot-dogging in front of the camera during the annual team photo shoot. This is recess time: No hot laps under a stopwatch. No trainer breathing down your neck. No endless testing questions to answer about suspension settings, powerband, traction. Instead, this is one day out of the year to just ride around and look good in front of the cameras for one 500th of a second.
At the end of the day, the net result is a stack of photos showing off some very impressive whips and roosts. Plus plenty of smiles, as for once, the riders can just kick back and have fun on their bikes. No pressure. Just as you can see in this behind-the-scenes look at the recess time these guys get to enjoy—once a year.
