The holidays are just around the corner, and Honda has a variety of presents to put under the tree for all the riders in your life, and even for soon-to-be riders. There’s something for everyone, everything from motorcycles to ATVs, plus officially licensed clothing and toys.
For smaller riders, or those just starting out, consider Honda’s CRF50F and CRF110F. The CRF50F is an ideal way to start exploring the world of off-road fun, with a low, 21.6-inch seat height, tough four-stroke engine, automatic clutch and three-speed transmission to ease the learning process, so new riders can concentrate on riding fundamentals. The CRF110F offers many of the same features for larger riders, including a taller, 26.3-inch seat height, but the same beginner-friendly features such as an automatic clutch (this time paired with a four-speed transmission), plus an electric starter, larger-diameter wheels and longer-travel suspension. Both bikes offer a throttle-limiting feature, to let your new riders work up to their comfort levels—and yours.
The next steps up the ladder for your budding off-roader are the CRF125F and CRF125F Big Wheel. These are for slightly larger riders ready to master manual clutch operation and a machine that’s a bit larger. Seat heights are 28.9 inches for the CRF125F and 30.9 inches for the Big Wheel, allowing you to choose which one your rider fits best. They both feature electric-start four-stroke engines with broad powerbands that make it easy to step up to the next level of off-road riding.
Want to start out your twelve-and-up riders on four wheels? Honda’s TRX90X is a great way to introduce them to the exciting world of ATVs. A rugged four-stroke engine offers smooth power, while an automatic clutch and four-speed transmission ease learning the fundamentals without having to worry about operating a clutch. Other features include a convenient electric starter, plus a throttle limiter.
Is your young rider craving competition? Then take a look at Honda’s CRF150R, the bike for the next generation of motocross stars. This is a for-real racing motorcycle, with competition-bred engineering. It all starts with a liquid-cooled four-valve four-stroke engine with Honda’s Unicam® head design that offers extraordinary power and torque throughout the powerband. A 37mm inverted Showa fork and Pro-Link® rear suspension provide excellent bump-absorption, while a lightweight steel frame offers just the sort of turning performance and stability your young racer needs.
For riders of larger stature, or perhaps more experience, there’s the CRF150F and CRF230F. The 150 is small enough for beginners to handle, but big enough to entertain those who’ve ridden for a while. User-friendly features include electric starting, reliable four-stroke power and supple suspension. The 230 sits at the top of the CRF-F family tree, but still offers classic Honda values, such as a relatively low, 34.6-inch seat height, a broad powerband, plus long-travel suspension and a hydraulic disc front brake.
