Honda Powersports Racing - Motocross Schedule - 2009 AMA Supercross

Superdome Supercross: The New Orleans Superdome was the site of Round 11 of the AMA SX season this weekend. The event hosted over 36,000 fans.

After coming in second in the opening heat, GEICO Powersports Honda rider Kevin Windham went on to be the top Honda finisher, bringing his CRF450R in at fourth.

Honda Red Bull Racing’s Andrew Short also finished his heat race in second and was the next Honda finisher of the evening, bringing his CRF450R in fifth. Because of his steady performances in every race, he continues to sit in third place overall for the season.

Honda Red Bull Racing’s Ivan Tedesco had a rough start and was in the back of the pack but was able to push through and finish thirteenth. He sits in sixth place overall.

Rough night: Honda Red Bull rider Davi Millsaps started the main in tenth but ended up in eighteenth. He sits in ninth place overall for the season.

Kevin Windham had the fourth fastest lap time of the night. He currently sits in eighth place overall.

On the gas: GEICO Powersports Honda rider, Blake Wharton won the first Lites heat of the evening.

On the Box: In Round 5 of the Lites East Supercross class, GEICO Honda Powersports rider, Blake Wharton had his first-ever professional podium finish. He came from outside the top five to finish third. Way to go, Blake!

Blake Wharton, aboard his CRF250R, had the fourth fastest lap time in the Lites main event. He sits in sixth place overall for the season with three rounds remaining.
