Round two of the 2009 AMA Supercross season took place this weekend at Chase Field in Phoenix. Economic belt-tightening? Not here: The stadium was packed with over 46,000 fans.

  • Geico Powersports Honda rider Kevin Windham was the top-scoring Honda rider in the opening heat, looking good and finishing second. Thumb
  • Honda Red Bull rider Andrew Short aboard his new CRF450R. Short finished fourth in the opening heat race, easily transferring to the main. Thumb
  • Sporting a new number for 2009 (18), Honda Red Bull Racing’s Davi Millsaps finished heat one right behind Short. Thumb
  • Honda Red Bull Racing’s Ivan Tedesco was the top Honda pilot in heat two in Phoenix. Tedesco looked even better in the main, and was the top-scoring Honda rider for the night. Thumb
  • It seems like it was all about the number four for Tedesco in Arizona: he had the fourth fastest lap time of the evening, and finished in fourth place in the main event. Thumb
  • Andrew Short finished the main event in fifth. Together with his third at Anaheim I, he’s in third place overall for the season. Thumb
  • Geico Powersports Honda rider Kevin Windham was the next Honda finisher, placing sixth in the main. He sits in eighth for the season, with 21 points. Thumb
  • Honda Red Bull rider Davi Millsaps finished the main in tenth. He is now tied with Kevin Windham with 21 points. Thumb
