The Lead Law is finally out of the picture after recently being lifted thanks to a group of motivated dirt bike riders, mini moms and dads and the kids. We just got back from the 2012 Honda CRF150R intro at Piru Motocross Park. Our young kid testers had a blast riding the new, small red four-stroke and we even had trouble getting them off the bike at the end of the day when it was time to load up.

The Steel City MX National held at Steel City Raceway in Delmont, PA, hosted the penultimate round of the 2011 AMA Motocross Championship and Women's Motocross Championship (WMX) this weekend, and the Honda Red Riders put in podium performances on their Honda CRF250R and CRF450R race machines. American Honda Racing's Ashley Fiolek edged closer to clinching her third WMX title after finishing runner-up at Steel City, while GEICO Honda's Eli Tomac had his best showing of the season, finishing runner-up in the 250 class.

The Southwick MX National at Moto-X 338 in Southwick, MA, hosted round 10 of the 2011 AMA Motocross Championship this weekend. On their Honda CRF250R and CRF450R race machines, the Honda Red Riders overcame the adverse weather conditions caused by Hurricane Irene to score podium finishes, including winning two motos.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc., extends heartfelt congratulations to the many individuals - off-road riding enthusiasts, powersports industry members, consumer groups, legislators and more - who have extended relentless efforts to gain an exemption for youth Off-Highway Vehicles (OHVs) from the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) of 2008, known as the lead law. On August 12, 2011, H.R. 2715 became law, exempting youth OHVs from the restrictions of the CPSIA so that parents and children can once again enjoy motorized recreation as a family.
